You'll also explore the broader aspects of sports management, including sports event management and sports sponsorships, with real-world applications. The program includes exclusive visits to Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and Real Madrid City, where you'll engage with industry professionals and gain invaluable experience.

Teaching methodology

Learn from industry experts in a collaborative, hands-on environment, including tutors from the Real Madrid Graduate School Universidad Europea. The course emphasizes active participation through interactive lectures and group discussions, designed to foster critical thinking and a deeper understanding of sports management. With the guidance of academic leaders from the Graduate School, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the global sports industry. Through case studies and practical assignments, you'll develop the skills needed to excel in the competitive sports industry. The city of Madrid, with its world-famous football clubs and sporting heritage, has long been associated with excellence, leadership, and innovation in sport. As part of the 15–17 Sports Management programme, you’ll study in a city where global sporting events, digital transformation, and stadium culture continue to redefine the industry. The city of Madrid provides an inspiring backdrop for learning, with its iconic venues and vibrant traditions, further enriched by the expertise of the Real Madrid Graduate School Universidad Europea.

Accommodation

Students stay in comfortable shared rooms, with staff providing support and supervision throughout their stay to ensure safety and wellbeing.

Food and catering

Meals are provided on a full-board basis Sunday to Thursday, with breakfast only on Fridays and no meals on Saturdays. All dietary requirements are catered for.

The Oxford Summer Courses Experience

For ages 15-17: Summer Discovery offers an immersive academic experience, focusing on the business side of sports management. Students will explore key topics such as the European football industry, stadium and arena management, and the digital transformation of sports. The programme includes engaging case studies on the Olympics and esports, offering a contemporary and comprehensive understanding of the sports industry.

Students will gain exclusive behind-the-scenes access to Real Madrid's headquarters and iconic sports venues, such as the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Real Madrid City, and other renowned facilities like Metropolitan Atlético Madrid Stadium and Wizink Centre Arena. Delivered in collaboration with the Real Madrid Graduate School Universidad Europea, founded in 2006, the programme features expert-led workshops on sports leadership and management. The curriculum also includes dynamic content on event management and marketing, culminating in a final project where students pitch their innovative ideas for the future of sports.

Santiago Bernabéu Stadium Tour

The Santiago Bernabéu is one of the most iconic football stadiums in the world. Visitors will explore the club’s history, view the prestigious trophies, and walk through exclusive areas such as the players' tunnel, VIP areas, and the stunning trophy room.

Segovia Day Trip

A short trip from Madrid, Segovia is home to the well-preserved Roman aqueduct, a fairytale castle, and medieval streets. Students will enjoy learning about the city’s history, from Roman times to the Middle Ages, and exploring the beautiful architecture and scenic views that make Segovia a must-see destination.
