Outline
Law is designed for 13–15-year-olds who want to explore how legal systems shape the world around us—both online and offline. Students will examine key legal concepts such as justice, rights, and criminal responsibility, while exploring how modern issues like cybercrime, fraud, and online privacy are challenging traditional laws. Through case studies and group discussions, they’ll learn how to analyse arguments, think critically, and understand the evolving role of law in a globalised, digital world. We don’t follow a fixed curriculum—our tutors tailor the course to the group’s interests, making learning relevant, engaging, and forward-thinking. The course also includes a masterclass focused on teamwork and debating, along with a reflection session to review personal goals and achievements.
Teaching methodology
Learning in a small group (no more than 8 students and often fewer) means that you get quality time with your teacher and ask as many questions as you like! Through interactive learning, our teachers will guide you through new concepts and assign you practice tasks to build your knowledge and skills. You will also have an opportunity for group work, independent research, and homework assignments to be discussed in class. Small classes mean everyone gets to have their say, and students learn from debating with one another, as well as from their tutor.
The city of Oxford, with nearly 1,000 years of academic history, has been associated with judges, barristers, and lawmakers who have shaped justice around the world. As part of the 13–15 Law programme, your child will live in a city known for debate, argument, and the pursuit of fairness. The city of Oxford provides an inspiring backdrop to spark curiosity about law and encourage future legal minds.
Accommodation is available in single or twin rooms, depending on the tier chosen. Plus students can choose single or twin, Superior guarantees an ensuite, and Premier provides concierge-selected rooms. All options include shared spaces and on-course staff for support.
Meals are provided on a full-board basis, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included. Students eat in the college dining hall or at local restaurants. All dietary requirements are catered for.

Law shapes the world we live in — from protecting people’s rights to guiding how societies work. This course introduces students to key legal principles and real case studies, helping them explore how justice is defined and debated. Through lively discussions, ethical dilemmas, and interactive challenges, learners step into the shoes of lawyers and decision-makers, developing confidence in presenting arguments and forming their own viewpoints.
Each weekday includes small seminar-style lessons (maximum 8 students), where expert tutors encourage independent thinking and persuasive communication. Afternoons combine guided research, group debate, and practical tasks such as mock trials, allowing students to experience legal reasoning in action. With structured social events and supportive staff throughout the week, they build confidence, teamwork skills, and a deeper understanding of how law connects to everyday life. They leave more articulate, more curious — and ready to keep challenging the big questions.
