Step-by-Step Oxford Summer Courses Application Form Guide

Applying to Oxford Summer Courses is designed to be a smooth and straightforward process. Whether you're joining us in Oxford, Cambridge, Eton, or at one of our top UK boarding school venues, our application form allows you to select the course that best suits your academic interests, age group, and availability. This page provides a step-by-step guide to completing your application, covering everything from choosing your subject and location to submitting your details and understanding what happens next. Each of the four steps is outlined clearly below, with accompanying guidance and answers to common questions to help you at every stage. By the end of the process, you’ll have everything you need to submit your application with confidence and take the first step toward a memorable summer experience.

Step 1: Course Selection

Choose the course that suits you best.

  • Date of Birth: Helps us display courses appropriate for your age group (9–24).
  • Subject: Select from over 40 academic subjects.
  • Location & Accommodation: Choose your preferred course location (Oxford, Cambridge, Eton, or a top boarding school) and your preferred accommodation tier where available.
  • Dates: Select your preferred course dates from the available options.
  • Optional Extras: You can add additional courses before or after your main one to extend your summer experience.

The total cost, including any additions, will be shown before you continue.

Step 2: Student Information

Tell us more about yourself.

  • Full Name and Contact Details
  • Gender (optional)
  • Country of Residence
  • Parent/Guardian Contact Details (if under 18)
  • Personal Statement: In at least 100 characters, tell us why you're applying. You might include your academic interests, goals, and reasons for choosing Oxford Summer Courses.

This section helps us get to know you better and ensures that your experience is tailored to your motivations and academic curiosity.

Step 3: School Information

Provide details about your current or most recent school.

  • School Name: Include the name of your current school. If you’ve recently graduated or are on a gap year, list the last school you attended.
  • School Address: Enter the full address, including the city and country. This helps us understand your academic background and may support visa documentation if applicable.
  • Home-schooled? If you are home-schooled, simply enter "Home-schooled" and provide your home address instead.

We use this information to ensure your academic background is taken into account and that your learning experience is appropriate for your level of study.

  • Personal Information: Double-check everything you’ve entered, including your contact information and personal statement.
  • Preferred Contact Method: Choose how you'd prefer us to contact you — phone, email, or SMS — and let us know what time of day is best.
  • Funding Situation: Indicate your current funding position. While we don’t offer financial aid, this information helps us understand your circumstances internally.

Once you're ready, click Submit. You’ll see an on-screen message confirming that your application is under review.
