Oxford Summer Courses Application Guide

Applying to Oxford Summer Courses takes around five minutes. Whether you're applying for yourself or on behalf of your child, our online application form will guide you through each stage of the process. This guide explains what information you'll need and what happens after you apply.

Step 1

Course Selection

Start by selecting the course you'd like to study, along with your preferred dates and accommodation option.

We'll use your date of birth to show the courses available for your age group. If you're interested in studying more than one subject during the summer, you can tell us during your application.

You'll be able to choose:

  • Your course
  • Your preferred accommodation option
  • Your course dates

Once you've made your selections, you'll move on to the next stage of the application.

Student Information

Next, we'll ask for some information about the student.

This includes:

  • Student contact details
  • Country of residence
  • A short personal statement

The personal statement is an opportunity to tell us why you're interested in the course and what you'd like to explore during your time with us.

For students aged 9–17, we'll also ask for parent or guardian contact details so we can communicate throughout the application process.

Step 3

School Information

We'll ask for details about the student's current or most recent place of study.

  • School, college or university name
  • Address
  • City
  • Country

This information helps us understand your educational background and ensure you're applying for the most suitable course.

If you're home-schooled, simply provide your home address instead.

Before submitting your application, you'll have the opportunity to review your:

  • You'll be asked to pay a £50 application fee
  • Your application will be reviewed once payment is received
  • If you don't pay immediately, we'll email you a secure payment link
  • If you're offered a place, we'll guide you through securing your place and preparing for your course

How long does the application take?
