Outline
Leadership is designed for 18–24-year-olds who are eager to explore the principles of leadership and develop the skills to influence and inspire others. Students will examine the purpose behind leadership, learning how to enhance their emotional intelligence, take responsibility for their actions, and ethically shift power in their direction. The course delves into important topics such as ethical decision-making, enabling students to evaluate all angles of an argument to make well-rounded choices. Students will deepen their understanding of advanced leadership theory, develop core skills, and work on becoming more self-aware. We don’t follow a fixed curriculum—our tutors tailor the course to the group’s interests, ensuring that learning is both relevant and engaging. The course also includes a masterclass on critical thinking, along with a reflection session to track progress and set new goals.
Teaching methodology
Learn the Oxford way with tutorial-style teaching. Your expert tutor will foster self-directed learning and critical thinking through interactive seminars in small groups (no bigger than 8). During your course, you will complete two pieces of independent work (essays or problem sheets), which your tutor will then evaluate in either a 1:1 or 2:1 tutorial. Tutorials will provide you with the opportunity to discuss your work and feedback with your tutor and learn new perspectives from your classmates. On completion of the course, you'll receive a certificate and letter of recommendation from your tutor.
The city of Oxford, with nearly 1,000 years of academic history, has educated prime ministers, presidents, campaigners, and changemakers whose leadership has shaped the world. As part of the 18–24 Leadership programme, you’ll live in a city defined by debate, decision-making, and ideas that inspire action. The city of Oxford provides an inspiring backdrop for learning, with its historic colleges, libraries, and long tradition of developing voices that influence change.
Accommodation is in single or twin rooms, depending on the tier. Plus lets you choose single or twin; Superior guarantees an ensuite; and Premier provides concierge-selected rooms. All include shared spaces and on-course staff support.
Meals are provided on a half-board basis (breakfast and dinner), served in college dining halls or at selected local restaurants. Students arrange their own lunch. All dietary requirements are catered for.

Leadership isn’t about titles — it’s about influence, collaboration, and turning ideas into action. In Oxford, students explore the qualities and decisions that shape effective leadership across sectors including business, politics, sustainability, and social change. Through debate, case studies, and scenario-based challenges, they examine real examples of leaders making an impact — and begin developing their own voice and approach.
Tutorial-style learning in groups capped at eight ensures everyone contributes and grows in confidence. Two independent assignments — supported with personalised, tutorial-style feedback — help students strengthen communication, strategic thinking, and self-reflection. Enrichment activities, college-style living, and an international cohort provide further opportunities to practise teamwork and initiative beyond the classroom. Each participant leaves with a course certificate, a tailored tutor recommendation, and clearer direction for where their leadership potential could take them next.

Visitors can explore its impressive collection of buildings and exhibitions, including the iconic White Tower, the Crown Jewels, and the medieval palace. They can also learn about the infamous prisoners who were held in the tower over the centuries, including Anne Boleyn and Guy Fawkes.
Visiting Westminster in London is a must-see for anyone interested in the city's rich history and iconic landmarks. This historic district is located in the heart of London and boasts several of the city's most famous attractions, including the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace.
