Learning

Outline

From voting to victorious wars, we live in turbulent times. Study International Relations and Politics with us and you’ll learn about the different political theories, how individual countries are governed and why conflict happens. We’ll also explore topical issues like how the media influences our voting system and how a society should share its resources. It’s a contextual, relative course that challenges your own thoughts on how we live and how we’re governed.

Teaching methodology

Learning in a small group (no more than 8 students and often fewer) means that you get quality time with your teacher and ask as many questions as you like! Through interactive learning, our teachers will guide you through new concepts and assign you practice tasks to build your knowledge and skills. You will also have an opportunity for group work, independent research, and homework assignments to be discussed in class. Small classes mean everyone gets to have their say, and students learn from debating with one another, as well as from their tutor.

The Summer Courses experience

Hosted within the hallowed halls of Oxford Colleges, students delve into subjects under the guidance of experts, fostering curiosity and critical thinking in a diverse, multicultural setting. The fusion of social activities and academic pursuits nurtures independent growth, complemented by empowering masterclasses and university fairs. 'Insider info' handbooks assist students in maximising their free time, while a gradual increase in freedom accompanies them through different age groups. This inclusive and welcoming environment encourages independent thinking, allowing you to explore your passions freely. Discover subjects you love without the constraints of traditional expectations, providing abundant opportunities for both personal and academic growth.
