Students learn in small groups through interactive sessions led by experienced tutors who specialise in working with younger learners. Through practical activities, collaborative projects, and real-world scenarios, students explore how ideas can be developed into solutions and how businesses operate. By working on challenges and sharing ideas, students begin to think like young entrepreneurs. If you’re ready to explore enterprise, you can apply now to be considered for a place.
About Enterprise
Enterprise is about turning ideas into action. It involves creativity, problem-solving, and understanding how to plan, develop, and present ideas in a real-world context.
Students interested in enterprise often also explore Maths Scholars, where they develop logical and analytical skills, and Technology Scholars, where they explore innovation and digital thinking. Some students also explore Law Scholars to understand rules and decision-making. At our Enterprise Scholars summer school, students are introduced to how these areas connect.
Learning and Thinking Like an Entrepreneur
Preparation for enterprise is about creativity, confidence, and the ability to think differently. Rather than focusing on right or wrong answers, students on our Enterprise Scholars summer school are encouraged to explore ideas, take risks, and learn from experimentation.
Students learn to identify problems, generate ideas, and present solutions clearly. This approach helps develop confidence and communication skills, while building a strong foundation for subjects such as Maths Scholars, Technology Scholars, and Law Scholars.
How You’ll Learn
Our Enterprise Scholars summer school is built around small-group teaching, allowing students to actively participate and explore ideas through discussion, activities, and collaborative projects. Tutors guide students through challenges while encouraging creativity and independent thinking.
Academic time is structured around small group classes, with students receiving 12 hours of lessons over one week. Lessons are designed to be engaging, practical, and interactive, helping students develop confidence and creativity. Teaching is based around interactive presentations, hands-on activities, group discussions, and Q&A sessions, ensuring that every student is involved.
There is no fixed curriculum. Tutors adapt sessions based on their expertise and the interests of the group, meaning that each course is tailored to the students taking part.
Learn from Supportive Tutors
Our Enterprise Scholars tutors are experienced educators who specialise in teaching younger students. They create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident sharing ideas, collaborating with others, and trying new approaches.
Many of our tutors enjoy teaching enterprise because it allows students to be creative, think independently, and develop practical skills that can be used in many areas of life. This creates an engaging learning environment where students gain both confidence and inspiration. To learn more, explore our tutor profiles page.
