Outline

From born leaders to those who just need a little encouragement, our Leadership course teaches the ropes of how to influence and inspire people. Study Leadership with us and you’ll learn the purpose of why people lead, how to reach the next level of emotional intelligence and take responsibility for your actions and how to shift power in your direction, justly. We’ll also look at ethical decision-making and how we can consider all angles of an argument for well-rounded choices.  

Teaching methodology

Learn the Oxford way with tutorial-style teaching. Your expert tutor will foster self-directed learning and critical thinking through interactive seminars in small groups (no bigger than 8). During your course, you will complete two pieces of independent work (essays or problem sheets), which your tutor will then evaluate in either a 1:1 or 2:1 tutorial. Tutorials will provide you with the opportunity to discuss your work and feedback with your tutor and learn new perspectives from your classmates. On completion of the course, you'll receive a certificate and letter of recommendation from your tutor.

Our team will allocate you to a specific Oxford college for your stay where our Oxford Summer Schools are hosted. Nelia Koroleva is a Visiting Lecturer at University of Westminster, specialising in Entrepreneurship, Team Creativity, Innovation, and Marketing. Nelia is the only UK Consultant and Executive Coach; combining practice and academic research on sustainable change (current Doctoral study at Oxford Brookes University), and the author of a new theoretical Model of sustainable change in leadership coaching (published in the International Journal of Evidence Based Coaching and Mentoring, Special Issue, June 2016). Nelia established and successfully managed her own coaching consultancy business since 2009. In the past 9 years she's designed 20 programmes and 227 workshops engaging 3,500+ participants in the corporate, education and health sectors.
