Our tutors are highly experienced teachers and motivated academics from Oxford University. They will guide you to think more deeply about your subject and gain academic maturity before you apply to university. You’ll learn from the best, and will be encouraged to write as much as possible so that you go home with your own short stories. You’ll also study the development of the English literary tradition, sharpen your critical eye, advance your writing skills, and broaden your horizons to discover your own voice as a writer and scholar.

Our courses are designed and delivered with a focus on developing your academic rigour. This is crucial when you come to apply to university and it shows you have the potential and commitment to be successful there.

Teaching methodology

Learning in a small group (no more than 15 students and often fewer) means that you get quality time with your teacher and ask as many questions as you like! Through interactive learning, our teachers will guide you through new concepts and assign you practice tasks to build your knowledge and skills. You will also have an opportunity for group work, independent research, and homework assignments to be discussed in class. Small classes mean everyone gets to have their say, and students learn from debating with one another, as well as from their tutor.

The Experience

Academically challenging, rooted in independent learning and fueled by critical thinking. The Oxbridge style of learning provides an unrivaled academic experience, giving access to individualised attention from Oxford tutors. The course is designed to emulate the Oxford academic experience, including workshops for developing further education and career skills.
