Naoise Murphy graduated from Durham University in 2017 with a B.A. in English Literature and French, with a year abroad at the Sorbonne University in Paris. She will complete her MPhil this year at the University of Cambridge Centre for Gender Studies. She has been awarded a Major Studentship by Newnham College Cambridge for her research on twentieth-century Irish women’s writing. She has several years of experience tutoring in both English and French.

Max Long is a graduate student at Cambridge University, where he is studying for an MPhil in Modern and Contemporary Literature. His interests lie in technology, the environment and the role of emotion in the process of artistic creation. His dissertation will explore the work of Anna Kavan and Patrick Hamilton, although next year he will begin a PhD in the early history of natural history filmmaking. Max’s work is strongly interdisciplinary; he graduated with a First Class in History from Oxford, and spent a year as a Visiting Fellow at Princeton University, before spending two months learning German at Middlebury College, Vermont, as a Kathryn Davis Peace Fellow. He has also cycled the Iron Curtain Trail in Germany, and tutored students at a Prison in New Jersey.

Kieron Winn’s first collection of poetry, The Mortal Man, was published in 2015, and has been widely praised www.kieronwinn.com. He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford, where he was awarded a doctorate for a thesis on Herbert Read and T. S. Eliot. His poems have appeared in magazines including Agenda, Agni, The Dark Horse, Literary Imagination, The London Magazine, The New Criterion, New Statesman, Oxford Magazine, Poetry Review, The Rialto, The Spectator and The Times Literary Supplement. Selections of his poems have featured anthologies including Carcanet’s Oxford Poets 2007 and Waywiser’s Joining Music with Reason, and he has read his poems on BBC TV and radio. He has twice won, in 2007 and 2013, the University of Oxford’s most valuable literary award, the English Poem on a Sacred Subject Prize. He lives in Oxford, where he is a freelance teacher.

Dr Gareth Dickson is a tutor in Creative Writing at the Oxford University Department of Continuing Education and on the Sarah Lawrence Programme at Wadham College, Oxford. He holds a PhD and MPhil in Creative Writing from the University of Queensland, Australia, where he has also taught. His work has appeared in journals and anthologies, and has been shortlisted for awards including the White Review Short Story Award and the Australian/Vogel Literary Awards.
