Entry Requirements

To apply to join our Cambridge summer courses, learners should be aged 16-17 years old and have a sufficient understanding of English to participate in academic discussions and coursework. They should also possess a keen interest in exploring their chosen subjects in a stimulating academic environment.

  • All teaching, including tutorials (1 or 2 students per tutor), small group seminars (8 students or less) and skills development workshops.

Cambridge Academic Overview

  • Seminar: Tutor contact time: 12 sessions x 1.5 hrs, with a maximum class size of 8 students. Interactive sessions promote critical thinking.
  • Tutorial: Tutor contact time: 2 sessions x 1 hr per pair. Small group setting (1-2 students) for personalised feedback and discussion of work.
  • Study: Explore topics beyond seminars, conduct research, or prepare for sessions with tutor guidance.
  • Tutorial work: Weekly small group tutorial (1-2 students) with work set in advance and a submission deadline of 3 pm on Wednesday.

  • Reflection: Time to review course goals and learning progress with staff facilitation.
