Study Environmental Science with Oxford Summer Courses

Environmental Science Summer School

Environmental Science takes an interdisciplinary view of the environment, embracing and integrating a wide range of subject areas. Incorporating the systematic scientific study of interactions between physical, chemical and biological processes in the environment studying Environmental Science gives you the skills to apply this knowledge to solve complex environmental problems.

At Oxford Summer Courses we are committed to the best academic experiences and to the personalised learning that has made Oxford a global academic force. So while all of our tutors are at the top of their fields depending on your age you'll be taught in slightly different ways. We use small group seminars to ensure that you get greater attention than you could elsewhere. On top of that if you're aged 16-17 or 18-24 then you'll receive weekly tutorials from leading academics mirroring the teaching method that makes Oxford a world-renowned university. Saher Hasnain

Saher Hasnain is a DPhil student at the School of Geography and the Environment at the University of Oxford. She holds a Masters in Environmental Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania, where she taught as an Academically Based Community Service (ABCS) Teaching Assistant for an Urban Asthma Epidemic course. This position, in combination with the community service aspect of her other courses, provided her with the opportunity to work with local schools in developing and maintaining initiatives like urban gardening and teaching healthy eating and cooking. She also has an undergraduate degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Bahria University, Pakistan, which led to a job as a Monitoring Assistant at the National (Pakistan) Energy Conservation Centre (ENERCON) and the production of a proposal for developing a systematic, national energy management program.
