Before arrival, students and parents receive full details about transfer options, immigration requirements, and what to expect at the airport. We also provide step-by-step travel guidance, including travel packs, reminders, and FAQs, to ensure families feel fully prepared. Unaccompanied Minor Service

For students travelling as an unaccompanied minor with their airline, we offer additional arrival and departure support to ensure a smooth and secure journey. On arrival, the airline’s staff will escort the student through the airport, where our Oxford Summer Courses team will meet them in the arrivals hall. A team member will then accompany them to their course location, ensuring a smooth transition.

For departures, students can receive dedicated support for £145. Our staff will accompany them to the airport, where a designated Unaccompanied Minors Supervisor will assist with check-in and ensure the student is handed over to the airline’s designated staff. Parents should confirm with the airline if an unaccompanied minor service is required, as age requirements vary. Full collection and drop-off details will be provided four weeks before the course starts.

Premier vs. Complimentary Transfers

We offer different transfer options based on the selected course tier. Complimentary transfers are available for Juniors, Plus, and Superior courses, while Premier Transfers are included for students in Premier Tier Courses.

Complimentary transfers provide a structured coach transfer with set pick-up and drop-off times. Transfers run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (BST) on arrival and departure days, with hourly pick-ups and group meet-and-greets.

Premier transfers offer a private, executive service with flexible arrival and departure times. A driver will meet the student at the airport with a personalised sign, handle luggage, and provide a direct transfer to their course location. The Premier service ensures a more comfortable and flexible travel experience.

Airport Transfers: Arrivals & Departures

We provide two types of airport transfers based on the course tier selected, designed for safety, convenience, and peace of mind. Premier Transfers offer flexible arrival and departure times, direct transport, and personalised support. Juniors, Plus & Superior Transfers provide shared coach transfers with scheduled pick-ups and group departures.

Our team will ensure every step of the process is managed smoothly, from arrival to departure. Students using Premier Transfers benefit from direct, one-to-one support, while those using shared transfers can expect a structured, well-organised group experience.

Premier Transfers – Step-by-Step Guide

When using Premier Transfers, students are met at the airport by a private driver holding a personalised sign. The driver will assist with luggage and escort them directly to a private vehicle, avoiding the need to transfer between terminals. The student will then be taken straight to their course location, where a staff member will be waiting to provide room information and settle them in.

On departure, the driver will arrive at the course location and transport the student to the airport. They will provide directions and assistance with the check-in process, ensuring the student has enough time to clear security and prepare for their flight.

Juniors, Plus & Superior Transfers – Step-by-Step Guide

Students using Juniors, Plus & Superior Transfers will be greeted by our team at the arrivals hall and directed to a designated coach or shuttle. The transfer will depart at set times throughout the day, running hourly between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM (BST).

On departure, students will be transferred to the airport in a shared coach. Our staff will assist with check-in and ensure students have everything they need before they proceed through security. The structured group transfer allows students to travel together, providing a comfortable and well-organised experience.

Immigration & Arrival Guidance

To ensure a smooth entry into the UK, students requiring a visa must carry essential documents in their hand luggage, including a valid passport, visa (if required), an offer letter or confirmation email from Oxford Summer Courses, and a visa support letter (if applicable).

Upon arrival, immigration officers may request these documents for verification. In some cases, they may contact Oxford Summer Courses for confirmation. Students are advised to keep these documents easily accessible until they have passed through immigration. Our team will provide students and parents with detailed travel information before the course begins, including who to contact in case of any issues at the border.
