This is a unique opportunity to live and learn in one of the UK’s most prestigious boarding schools, set in 170 acres of stunning parkland. There’s plenty of history here. The current building, finished in 1798, is a precious example of British neo-Gothic architecture, and the school has a rich history of academic excellence. But the ethos of the place is firmly modern – with a focus on state-of-the-art facilities and fully rounded educational experiences.

Wycombe Abbey is a unique opportunity to experience life as a boarding school student in Britain. Students will be staying in dormitories in a boarding house, used by the students during term time. They have their own space, but also get the chance to make new friendships with other students their age.

The boarding houses have common rooms, study rooms and plenty of outside space. The boarding house is located at the heart of the school, giving students easy access to the school’s amenities and vast grounds, complete with woodlands and picturesque lake.

All three meals a day are provided for students in the school’s modern canteen. Each meal consists of a range of hot and cold options, desserts and fruit, meaning there is always something for everyone. Students are also treated graduation dinner on Friday nights to celebrate their achievements that week.

Wycombe Abbey is a picturesque boarding facility which encourages a safe environment for summer learning. Part of our commitment to safety is hiring an experienced team of staff who have all been DBS checked. They live on-site during the course, and are available to students 24/7. We maintain a staff to student ratio of 1:5, so all students are looked over and feel cared for, from the moment they arrive.

Wycome Abbey is one of the many reasons to consider a juniors summer course with Oxford Summer Courses. Explore our range of 9-12 courses below, and find the perfect course for your child.
