Somerville College, Oxford
Named in honour of the Scottish mathematician and scientist Mary Somerville, you'll live in the college that has brought great scientists, novelists, and politicians alike through it’s doors, including Vera Brittain, Dorothy Sayers, Dorothy Hodgkin, Indira Gandhi and Margaret Thatcher.
There is at least one staff member in each block who will make sure all rules are being obeyed. You will live alongside course staff whilst your tutors will visit the college to teach you (unless you need to be off-site, such as in a lab).
The rooms at Somerville are home to undergraduates and graduates during term time and have high-speed internet, desks for working and views over the college quadrangle. Somerville College is available for students aged 16-24 with twin room accommodation and shared bathroom facilities.
Breakfast is served in Somerville’s dining hall and there is a large lawn that’s perfect for reading, working, or playing frisbee.
