Become one of our Maths Explorers and you’ll learn how to analyse patterns, solve numerical obstacles and look at how mathematical problems exist in everyday life. We’ll explore the foundations of pure and applied mathematics and build your knowledge in a range of areas from geometric mathematics to algebra and statistics.
Expect head-scratching puzzles, frustrating (but so satisfying once you know the answer) brainteasers and codes that help you crack this multidimensional subject!
Our teaching for 9-10-year-old students is focused on interactive and task-based learning. You will be taught by experienced primary teachers, who are there to inspire and engage you with the subjects they are passionate about. Our courses run over a week, and during this time you will develop your subject knowledge through multimedia presentations, group work, games, problem-solving and project work with a meaningful real-life focus.

Stay at one of Britain’s top boarding schools and experience the best of British education in 2019. Whether you’re at Cheltenham Ladies College or Wycombe Abbey, you’ll stay in a historic location, in a secure site, set in beautiful grounds, and be supported by an experienced pastoral team.
You’ll make international friends, take part in activities and study with top tutors. Our classes are never larger than fifteen, and at the end of their time with us, all students receive a certificate of completion and feedback from their tutor.

You will have access to the facilities that term-time student would as well as being on the doorstep of a thriving town. At Wycombe Abbey, your boarding house will be located at the heart of the school, giving you easy access to the school’s amenities and vast grounds, complete with woodlands and picturesque lake.
At both boarding schools, all of your daily meals will be taken on site. This traditional dining fosters a familial environment, giving you a chance to mix with classmates, people from your boarding house, and your new friends. On Friday nights, you will be treated to a graduation meal to celebrate your achievements.
