How does our law shape how we think and act? What is its purpose in our society, and why do we need it? From historical conflicts and controversies to modern criminal, commercial and cyber law, if there’s a set of rules to be adhered to, it’s all in here. Work with a professional from one of the world’s top educational institutions to investigate the different legal systems globally and how they influence our constantly changing world.
Learning in a small group (no more than 15 students and often fewer), as well as 1:1 or 2:1 tutorials, means that you get quality time with your tutor and the chance to ask all your most pressing questions. Through interactive learning, our tutors will guide you through new concepts and assign you practise tasks to build your knowledge and skills. You will also have an opportunity for group work, independent research, and homework assignments to be discussed in class. Small classes mean everyone gets to have their say, and students learn from debating with one another, as well as from their tutor. You’ll take part in academic workshops that will build your transferable skills are help you prepare for your academic career.
Students take part in 27 hours of learning from their teachers in small groups and 1:1 or 2:1 tutorials, challenging them in thought-provoking, intensive courses. Class sizes are no more than 15 students, giving you personalised attention from a tutor at the top of their field.
You’ll also get the chance to learn first-hand from industry experts during our TED-style talks and academic workshops. You’ll leave the course feeling inspired, with a greater understanding of what it will take to succeed.

Students will experience a half-day academic excursion to explore topics taught in the classroom in a real-world, hands-on environment.

The university has been ranked the top university in Asia Pacific by two international ranking systems, and hosts over 35,000 students during term time.
Summer course students have the opportunity to stay at the National University of Singapore student housing for the duration of their course for their convenience. The course also offers a non-residential option for local students. The National University of Singapore is located in East Singapore, known for its top academic institutions, commercial sector, and restaurants
At the National University of Singapore accommodation, our pastoral staff and group leaders will be nearby to make sure you’re safe, comfortable and happy. On the first day, our staff provide students with an orientation to help you settle in and work out the basics of student life.
