Order on the course! Get to grips with the law and its justice system and debate whether you agree with its practices or not. You’ll learn the complex ways laws are made up through a combination of interactive study groups and solo research. As the course progresses, you’ll discover what it’s really like to live as a lawyer, and what really happens in a courtroom.
Our teaching for 11-12-year-old students is focused on interactive and task-based learning. You will be taught by experienced primary teachers, who are there to inspire and engage you with the subjects they are passionate about. Our courses run over a week, and during this time you will develop your subject knowledge through multimedia presentations, group work, games, problem-solving and project work with a meaningful real-life focus. This teaching style has an increased focus on age-appropriate content and offers more opportunities for independent group work than our 9-10 courses.

In 2019 we are excited to be working with two of Britain’s best performing schools: Cheltenham Ladies College, your boarding house is located a short walk away from the main school site. You will have access to the facilities that term-time student would as well as being on the doorstep of a thriving town. At Wycombe Abbey, your boarding house will be located at the heart of the school, giving you easy access to the school’s amenities and vast grounds, complete with woodlands and picturesque lake.
At both boarding schools, all of your daily meals will be taken on site. This traditional dining fosters a familial environment, giving you a chance to mix with classmates, people from your boarding house, and your new friends. On Friday nights, you will be treated to a graduation meal to celebrate your achievements.
