Study for your IELTS exam on our intensive two-week course, where we will teach you everything you need to know about the exam. You will practice exam-style reading, writing, listening and speaking exercises and receive individual feedback on your progress in each area. You will also take timed mock exams using authentic materials to get a real idea of your progress.
This course also focuses on academic writing, teaching you how to structure your essay, what vocabulary to use and useful phrases to take your writing to the next level.
You will study all possible topics for the IELTS Academic exam; from Art to Business, Environment to Education. Improve your vocabulary and practice using new language effectively.
At the end of your course, you will receive a Certificate, and a Letter of Recommendation from Oxford Summer Courses.
You’ll have time to explore Oxford for yourself, as well as forging new friendships for the future, and there’s an action-packed programme of social activities, field trips and excursions to help bring your learning to life. We might even head to London for the day.

Begbroke Hall occupies a secure and peaceful site north of Oxford, allowing students to enjoy the English countryside but be within a 15 min drive to the world famous sights of Oxford. Oxford Summer Courses have exclusive use of the whole school for a fully immersive learning experience, available to 9-17 year old EFL students throughout the summer.
Begbroke Hall started life as a girls boarding school in the 1700s before its owner gave the house to St Juliana’s Convent who ran a small girls independent school until the 1980s. The hall's grounds back onto Blenheim Palace grounds and includes facilities such as: art rooms, food technology rooms and a technology suite for a fully immersive English Language course. Classrooms are well equipped with modern technology including smart boards.
Accommodation at Begbroke Hall is in newly refurbished, modern rooms with shared bathrooms. Student rooming will be mainly be in twin rooms with some students in dorm style rooms of 3-6. We want you to be happy and have the best summer ever, so experienced, highly-trained Oxford Summer Course staff live on site during the summer to help you get settled in and provide the support you need.
You'll enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in the old chapel which still has its original features such as the beautiful stained glass windows. On day trips and excursions, you'll have a packed meal or a meal out at a local restaurant.
