Learning

Outline

You’ll develop skills and build confidence in all areas of the English language. From learning the right way to use vocabulary and functions to writing fluently, we’ll transform the way you communicate.

Studying English Language with us means that you will learn in an interactive and immersive way, to give you plenty of opportunity for authentic, meaningful English communication and conversation. We use a combination of taught lessons in small groups, and ‘active English’ sessions, where you can apply your English to everything from cooking to debating dilemmas and solving murder mysteries.

Teaching methodology

Our teaching for 9-10-year-old students is focused on interactive and task-based learning. You will be taught by experienced primary teachers, who are there to inspire and engage you with the subjects they are passionate about. Our courses run over a week, and during this time you will develop your subject knowledge through multimedia presentations, group work, games, problem-solving and project work with a meaningful real-life focus.

The Experience

You’ll have time to explore Oxford for yourself, as well as forging new friendships for the future, and there’s an action-packed programme of social activities, field trips and excursions to help bring your learning to life. We might even head to London for the day.

You’re not a tourist, so we won’t treat you like one. Instead we’ll help you uncover genuine local treasures and show you what life here is really like, from the inside.
