Looking for the University of Oxford experience without the hassle of having to travel far? Our Singapore courses can offer you exactly that!

Running week-long courses at the renowned National University of Singapore (NUS), we deliver a world-renowned Oxford university education, taught by Oxford tutors for a truly unique summer experience.

Who can attend the Singapore courses?

Our courses in Singapore are available to two age groups; 16-17 and, new for our 2020 summer programmes, courses for 18-24 year olds. The subjects we offer are:

16-17 year olds

18-24 year olds

Why should I attend a course in Singapore?

The best academic experience

Using the Oxford tutorial method of teaching, our short academic courses will challenge your critical thinking and will encourage you to think independently, driving your academic skills ahead of your peers. Over the week, you’ll have 18.5 hours of taught academic sessions, offering you plenty of time to delve deep into your chosen subject.

You’ll also learn in small groups (no more than 15 students) with interactive and collaborative sessions to further build on your skills, as well as allowing you plenty of time to learn from your expert tutor.

Skills focused workshops

Aside from your academic sessions, our 16-17 year old students will also participate in skill-building workshops, designed to build on skills that will be invaluable during university and throughout your career. With previous sessions including ‘time management,’ ‘dummy interviews’ and ‘writing, presenting and blogging,’ expect to work on presentation, communication and teamwork skills – all essential in helping you to excel in the future.

Cultural experience

Singapore is one of the most vibrant places in the world, with plenty to do and explore with your new friends outside of class time. For our 18-24 year-olds, our local staff will grant you the freedom and independence to do what you want, and will be on-hand to advise on the best places to eat, drink and see so you can make the most out of your time in Singapore.

Students will also have a scheduled day trip, as well as 2-3 group evening excursions to see local wonders such as Marina Bay Sands and the ArtScience Museum. For our 16-17 year-olds, there are also plenty of group activities to join as well, with sports sessions, quizzes and bowling, there’s always something to get involved with during your stay!

For those who may have never stayed away from home before, it’s a chance to sample independent living, and experience student life as you stay with your new friends for an exciting summer adventure.

Business tours

For our 18-24 year old students, there is the exciting opportunity to explore Asia’s Silicon Valley with our exclusive tours around some of Singapore’s best start-up companies. It’s a chance to go behind closed doors and find out from the experts how they made it to the top. It’s time to immerse yourself in the country’s booming economy and learn how to reach the top.
