Study Media Studies with Oxford Summer Courses

Media Studies Summer School

The creation of modern media is both a science and an art; combining theories from the fields of psychology and neuroscience with the artist’s creative drive and iterative pursuit of perfection in order to share their perspective with the audience. In this course, we will discuss the origins of modern media before delving into the creative process and toolsets utilised across film, music, theatre and games. Through the analysis of select examples, you will achieve a greater understanding of storytelling and world building devices along with how these can be employed to communicate your own vision.
