Study Business and Entrepreneurship with Oxford Summer Courses

 Business and Entrepreneurship Summer School

Digitization and in particular the internet are inflicting the largest changes to the business environment (or economy) in the last 100 years, fundamentally uprooting many existing business models, and making many products and services obsolete in ever shorter cycles. This makes entrepreneurship and the process of designing new businesses a must.

The goal of the course is to let you discover best practice in the start up world, so that one day you have the basic tools to pursue your own dreams.

Take a look in more detail at our range of courses for 10-24 year olds below.

Courses

At Oxford Summer Courses we are committed to the best academic experiences and to the personalised learning that has made Oxford a global academic force. So while all of our tutors are at the top of their fields depending on your age you'll be taught in slightly different ways. We use small group seminars to ensure that you get greater attention than you could elsewhere. On top of that if you're aged 16-17 or 18-24 then you'll receive weekly tutorials from leading academics mirroring the teaching method that makes Oxford a world-renowned university. Choose your Business & Entrepreneurship course below:

18-24 years

  • 2 and 4 week courses available
  • Oxford/Cambridge University accommodation
  • tutorials & group seminars
  • Breakfast and dinner included

This course will introduce you to entrepreneurship through the Orange Hills business design training method, which pulls together key learnings from leading authorities in entrepreneurship, and teaches them in a hands on, interactive fashion. The students develop their own business ideas in teams and learn about the most important aspects of business design.

This includes developing a business model, pitching it, determining hypotheses and experiments to validate your key assumptions, developing a minimum viable product and action plan. Some part of this will involve going out and talking to potential customers. Interim results of each team will be presented to the group as a whole. Students will also have access to the tutor in a one-to-one session.
